Who Suffers More?

.

Why is it that we perceive our own suffering as all consuming, while the suffering of millions of others is faint and distant?  Surely, the suffering of others is no less than our own.  They are no less human, no less vulnerable, no less sensitive. If we were aware of our connectedness; if we saw, at the deepest level, that we are an inseparable part of mankind; then our own suffering would cease entirely.

You write beautifully. I hope to see more of your writing for others. You have much to share on how to live with joy in this world!
