I am a 63 year old female. I have 2 grown children, and 2 beautiful grandchildren. I live with my dog Shadow and neurotic cat Callie. I retired from my job on disability in 2003 which worked out well for me because, my Dad was living with me and he was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. He never smoked in his life. Go figure. I remarried my 2nd husband for the 2nd time 2/23/07, and he died of colo-rectal cancer on 8/24//07. Yeah, that really sux, we thought we would have more time together, but it didn't work out that way. Now I spend my days putting off things I was going to do yesterday, but put off until today, and then wonder what the heck I did all day.
My daughter is 38 and has 2 children. My girl Sarah, 14, and my dude, Phil, 11. They are what keeps me on this earth. My son is 41, and he is "my caretaker" since Chuck died. I would have never have made it through this past 16 months without him. He has helped me keep my sanity through these past months. He is a soft hearted, loving, caring son that I couldn't live without. I can see me, him and his dad all moving to FL. when his 87 yr. old Gram passes. It would rip my heart out to leave my daughter and grandchildrern, but she has made her own life, and the kids are growing up and don't have much time for Nana or Pops anymore.
I guess that's all "about me" I have to say. There's not much more to tell. I have a boring life and like it that way. I'm too old for excitement, lol
Interests:
I do some crafts, not as much as I use to. I'd like to get back to my soapmaking, I have 50 skeins of yarn just waiting for me to pick up, several cross stitch projects to do, and I am learning to paint. I think there is more but it is giving me a headache just thinking of all the unfinished projects I have stareing me in the face when I walk by. I have so much I could do but just don't have the motivation. I love working outdoors, but only have a couple of months of nice weather. We use to have 4 seasons, but it seems lately we have gone to 3. Summer, winter and spring. I have put a lot of work into my yard, even dug a pond by myself. I now have a rather large bull frog and baby, plus 3 koi and 4 goldfish in it that I have managed to keep alive for 4 years. I planted about 30 shrubs and 4 trees this summer. Like I said, I have a lot I could do, but I guess I've gotten lazy in my old ageMy Photos (9)
