I just wish people would stop using the word liberal when they are refering to extreme leftists views. The way I see it there are extreme leftists, extreme rightist, and moderates (liberals), but instead most have choosen to use conservative and liberal as the only choices.
Glad to hear you are not angry, because it seems that those on either extreme are very angry people. From the comments you posted about the pregnant teenager at the restraunt, however, I think maybe you might be a "closet liberal".

I agree with you on a couple of things. Your comment about the focus on the presidential election is diverting us away from the real fraud, waste and corruption that exist in Congress. We should pay closer attention to who we elect to the House and Senate and I certainly try to do that when I cast my vote. However, even though there are a lot of congressional races being contested this year, this IS a Presidential election year, and that is why the focus is so much on Obama vs. McCain. Also, I don?t believe that all politicians are corrupt, but I will admit that it is getting increasingly harder to find one that isn?t. We all have someone or something in our backgrounds that we no longer wish to be associated with.

As a single person, what is best for the rest of the country is not always what is best for me either, but many of the issues raised by AARP do apply to my situation. If none of the ?AARP slanted? questions pertain to your situation, then what are you doing in this forum?

I just call it as I see it. Although I personally like John McCain, I believe he gave up his bipartisan, maverick status, when he caved in to the Republican base by picking Palin to be his running mate. I also feel that he is out of touch on many of the issues and problems facing this country, and that is what scares me.

It is plain to see that you and I don't agree on a lot of things, but The thing I REALLY don't understand is why you are so angry with me.
