At age 91, my father can still recite a poem he had to memorize and recite as a first grader. Memory is so strange. I can do the same thing with a poem I had to memorize over fifty years ago. However, when the registrar at the local community college asked my phone number last month, I just stared. I could not remember it for the life of me.
