About Me

HELLO, I am new here, so I will try to be brief in "about me". As usually it would be a long short story. Reason being is that I love to write., although sometimes give "too much information". I am the mom of three son's, ages forty one, thirty seven, and twenty three. I have two beautiful grandaughters. Unfortunately we are all spread out. The oldest is in Nevada, The middle w/the girls are in Louisiana, and the youngest moved from Louisiana about three months ago to Texas, but I dont think things are working out for him, so he will probably go back to Louisiana and hopefully finish school, then return to Texas. I was transplanted from Calif. to Louisiana in 1981, then to Alabama in 2005. I am awaiting disability, as I have not been able to work when my car ran over me! yup it really did. Needless to say, that put an end to my working in the restaurant industry, or working on my feet for 8 hrs. a day...even sitting in one place for too long is uncomfortable. I have appealed my second denial, so it will probably be another 12-18 months to get on the docket. But thats what I have been doing since I have been in Al. waiting and waiting on things..A few things have come through, and this July, will be able to start getting widows benefits. With that the waiting won't be so bad. I still want to get involved in something, so am going to start water aerobics on the 12th of May. I have never gone this long without working, or getting out and doing something, so this way I can hopefully regain some more of my mobility, and strengthen the muscles in my back, so that I can spend more time on my feet. Approaching the big 60 is not too exciting to me, but I am really 60 going on 25, LOL gotta keep the sense of humor, I believe or you might not get through this life.

Interests:
Music, Creative Writing, Poetry, Song Writing, Arts and Crafts, soon will be starting water aerobics, which I am really looking forward to. Also, yoga, and classes on creative writing, through the local Sr. Center. Although I have been writing for many years, I want to get out and meet new people. I have only lived in this little N. Alabama town for 3 years, I have not met alot of people.
