I was very active in high school sports. You name it I did it. I earned a four year paid scholarship to a local university here in Texas but didn't take advantage of it and I paid the price for that mistake. I do volunteer work when I am able at a local rehab center and I love to help out the ward
my name is Crissy, Im tammy daughter. She has been in hospital for
about 3 weeks now. I took her to H.E.B and she had temperature over
103, so i rushed her to the E.R and they have been doing test on her
and trying to make her feel better.. Something about the port got
infected and then they moved it to her arm, and i told them not to put
it in the right arm but they did it anyways, and it got infected
again.. and so next day they had to take it out again. So now mom is
not suppose to have chemo again until she gets stronger. Please pray
for her, she is trying to be strong and get better.. But things are
going wrong left and right. Her kidney failed to work, so they did a
test on her and then they got it working again which is a good thing.
I just wanted to let yall know why mom has not been on the website..
she wont be on the comuter for a while because she will go into a
nursing home or some place they can watch her fully and take care of
her better then i can. If i would have gone to sleep that night
instead of taking her to H.E.B.. it would have been bad. :( so im
kinda scared taking on such responiciblity.
It's been a little crazy here the past three weeks. What should have been a pleasant three week break from chemo because of the holiday, ended up with me being in bed for 16 days. It started as a heat rash right before my last chemo, then with my immune system down became badly infected. I'll just say that it was so painful, that I couldn't even move, so I had to spen 16 days in bed waiting for the antibiotics and antifungal to work and clear things up. We were also afraid that my chronic staph infection would rear up and get really ugly, but thankfully that never happened. I'm finally over it all, and had chemo last Friday. Give me a few days and I'll be back working in the yard and relaxing in my new rock garden.
I see that you have taken over the group from Christine. Good for you. Obviously it means that you are doing well with your treatments. How many and how often will you be getting them? I know that they are never any fun, but God can give us wonderful lives in between treatments. It's amazing how our lives can change so drastically as a result of this disease, and in many ways it becomes even better. You are still in my prayers, and wishing you are well.
