Why volunteer with STAND! Against Domestic Violence?
Because whatever your needs/interests/availabilities are, we have something for you. If you like making a difference for people who have been abused, you can volunteer on our crisis line or support group, if you like working with children, become our Children's Activity Provider! If you like public speaking, become a speaker in our Speaker's Bureau. If you think teens nowadays are going down the drain, make a difference by becoming a Prevention Educator for our School Based Program. Enjoy the excitement of live auctions? Volunteer for one of 3 annual special events. Have a computer skill you want to share? Give a class to our clients or staff! Want to feel REALLY appreciated every and any time you come by? Become a volunteer! We have continuing education, training, fun events (massages anyone?), freebies (occasional (when available,) free tickets to Sleep Train Pavilion concerts), and our annual volunteer blow-out dinner in April.
