About Me

I guess I'm "officially" retired now having been laid off. Well I guess it's just a little sooner than I had planned, but I will probably look for something part time to do. The first couple of weeks were great. It's been 35 yrs since I'm able to wake up and think, "gee I don't have to go to work ever again!" What a feeling. I think my friends are probably envious. "Oh, so now you'll sit home all day and watch tv and eat bon bons." No, that got old fast. I putter around my garden and find things to do.

Interests:
I love traveling, and being only 1-1/2 hrs from the beach am able to go more often. Also like to read, cook, music, and now that I have free time I can do volunteer work.

I'm sure I would. It's been a goal for a long while.
Sigh...

Did I hear you say the Outer Banks? A long standing desire has been to visit the Outer Banks and just stroll the beaches and see the sights. Lucky you! Love your dog. Pretty girl.

Yes, you heard correctly! I am about 2 hrs from Myrtle Beach and about 4 from Outer Banks (OBX). We love going there. It is a great place to take a dog. They can run at will on the beach off season, and if you go where there really is little activity, they can run on the beach. I took my girl there for the first time in May. She loved it, but was afraid of the foam! You should get there if at all possible. You'll fall in love with them.
