I'm just finding out that there is life after 50. I am 54 and work as a schoolteacher. I love it, but I think when retirement comes around I will love that too. Having the summer off makes me think it will be easy to be retired. I live in a cozy colonial in New England. By the time I retire, I will have no responsibilities and plan to travel the US or move to a comfortable community near the ocean.
Interests:
I like talks joking around etc., walks/hikes enjoying nature, gardening or at least trying, shopping antiques, yard sales, craft shops whatever I feel like doing, have always had a love of the ocean/beach, that is where my heart is. I joined so I can start living and meeting interesting, intelligent(at least a little), and witty (must have a sense of humor). I am trying to get up the nerve to go on a cruise alone. Suggestions/advice?
