The other day both of my elderly parents in their seventies went to the doctor with coughs and colds. The doctor prescribed an antibiotic and cough syrup for both of them and sent them to the pharmacy. When the presciptions were picked up my Fathers antibiotic came to $34.00 and the cough syrup was $20.00. My mothers was $120.00 for the antibiotic and $20.00 for the cough syrup. I took them back to the pharmacy because I thought surely someone had made a mistake, how could the same drugs on the same medicare plan be two different prices. We were told that they look at each individual seperately and charge them differently. Now my question is still why was my fathers antibiotic $90.00 cheaper than that of my fathers? Shouldn't Medicare be the same for all who are on it and have paid into it for all these years. I remember when my Mother went to sign up for Social Security they told her that she hadn't made enough in the last 10 years before to draw her own Social Security therefore she would have to draw off of my Father's. What about all of these immigrants who have come over here and worked either very little or not at all and draw full benefits? Something is really wrong with this system and I'm really tired of our government giving this country away to the rest of the world while our senoirs are supposed to just lay down and die!!! I'm not voting for one incumbent in this next election and i'm urging everyone that I know to do the same. If we do that for the next few elections maybe they will get the idea that we are not cattle!!

YOU START OUT WITH ALL THESE FANTASIES ABOUT WHAT YOUR LIFE IS GOING TO BE LIKE AND WHERE YOU ARE GOING TO LIVE AND THEN YOU GET MARRIED AND ALLTHAT FLIES OUT THE WINDOW! EVERYTIME YOU MAKE A PLAN IT GETS CHANGED OR FALLS THROUGH SO AFTER AWHILE YOU WONDER "WHAT'S THE USE". WELL I FINALLY FIGURED OUT THAT LIFE IS NOT SOMETHING YOU CAN SCHEDULE OR PLAN, YOU HAVE TO JUST LET IT HAPPEN AND ENJOY THE RIDE! THINK ABOUT ALL THE LITTLE UNPLANNED DAY TRIPS YOU'VE EVER TAKEN AND ENDED UP IN A PLACE YOU'VE NEVER BEEN BEFORE, SEEING NEW THINGS AND EXPERIENCING A LITTLE MOM AND POP DINER OR ROADSIDE CAFE, OR A SMALL OUT OF THE WAY ANTIQUE SHOP YOU DIDN'T KNOW EXISTED. MAYBE YOU EVEN MET SOME REALLY NICE PEOPLE AND HAD AN INTERESTING CONVERSATION. SO, NEXT TIME MAKE YOUR PLANS AND THEN TRY NOT TO STICK TO EVERY LITTLE DETAIL AND SEE IF IT'S NOT JUST A LITTLE MORE FUN AND ADVENTUROUS. LIFE CAN BE A TRIP!
