I'll enjoy the peace while I can. Good strong coffee, pug by my side, the husband still snoozing away. Because once I get to work, it's nonstop activity and drama. I'm grateful for my job, but I feel the need for more freedom as I get older. I know that somebody you chat casually with today may be gone tomorrow. So I want to make the moments count. Can I make that happen in an eight hour work day? Yes. It means paying attention and being engaged with the people around you. It means growing where you're planted, as they say. And seeing life as a lot of little beginnings. That way, it' always new and fresh.
