About Me

I am a 53 year old woman. I am a mail carrier. I have been with my partner almost four years. I have two grown sons. One three year old granddaughter, and a grandson on the way. I am just starting to really enjoy my 50's. I love my job for the most part. The summers can be torture sometimes. I am on a journey with no destination, I am really into self discovery now. I am trying to do things right this half of my life. It is never to late to make changes

I just started Kayaking and love it. I was a runner for 25 years, but now I am a walker. I love to take long walks, hiking and just being outdoors. I love to read. I also swim quite frequently

Losing Neptune

I recently lost a good friend, his name was Neptune, he was a beautiful Tonkinese cat with gorgeous blue eyes.  He was our head cat, and took his position very seriously. He often bullied his brother Merlin off their favorite roost, and he tormented little Bacchus like most big brothers do to the youngest.  I miss his grumpy voice and the weight of him when he plunked himself down on my stomach.  Every time I have a cold drink now it is strange to actually get to drink it by myself. I miss you you big lug, when you run into the other animals that I belonged to tell them hi and how much I still miss them. I read something recently that brought me much comfort it was,"Until one has loved an animal, part of their soul remains unawakened".  Thank you for the love you brought into my life, because of you I am a better person.  Good journey my friend. Love mom.
