I believe they're called Humming birds b/c their wings flap so fast as they hover, or at least look as though they do, that they make a humming sound. Great pictures!
Yet, I love this Photo too. I didn't kow these Humming birds were that tiny, but then again I know nothing about birds. However, I can see where you love these little birds! Why do they call them Humming birds? Is it because of the sounds they make? Shelby
