I am 53 years old and am married to my best friend. We have owned and operated a dog-grooming & boarding business in Northern Michigan for 17 years, we were dairy farmers as well. We sold the farm and closed the pet business 2 years ago after my husband was injured and we reevaluated our lives and the balance between leisure and work. We have spent time in Fla. with my brother and his wife and have come to NC and are working as houseparents in a maternity home.

Interests:

I took up kayaking about 3 years ago and am totally hooked. I love to camp and hike . Gardening is also a favorite past time . My husband loves old cars and trucks and we enjoy going to car shows. I have always loved the mountains and in this past year have spent alot of time at the ocean, and have found I love that too. I have trained dogs for many years and have done volunteer work for "PAWS WITH A CAUSE".,an organization that trains dogs for people with various physical challenges.
