About Me

A widower, recently retired. I live modestly on a fixed income. I enjoy an occasional day trip or short getaway, but unlike Magellan, I have no desire to circumnavigate the globe. Amtrak is fun, if you don't have to be anywhere on time. My dog thinks I'm the very best. All three of my cats are affectionate. I have family and friends. But a piece of the puzzle has gone missing. There is room in my life for a mature female friend with similar interests and skewed perspectives to perhaps share some time with. She should be intelligent, feminine, confident but soft-spoken, sexually subtle and as comfortable in high heels and dresses as she is in bare feet and jeans. A companion for all occasions. Physical fitness is important. I am not trying to recapture my youth here, I'm glad it's gone. I'm a better, happier man than I ever was a boy. I value harmony and balance, not excess and obsession.

Interests:
The Human Condition, History, Animal Welfare, The Environment, Chess, Poker, Museums, County Fairs, Camping, Hiking, Beachcombing, Amtrak, Horseback Riding, Sleeping in, Reading.

Hi,
You sound like a very nice and interesting man. I especially like the fact that you have animals and seem to love them as much as I do mine. I love to rescue little critters, such as the one pound "pit bull" puppy I nursed back to health. She had parvo, mange and other ailments... now she is 42 lbs. of love and adoration for me. I have a cat named Henry from Hurricane Katrina and tell people he meows with a southern drawl.
I have been divorced many years, but still would like to find that special person to make my life more interesting. If you would like to write to me, I'd enjoy hearing from you.
I am sorry for your loss.
