It happens everytime... the mailbox decision.
It's the biggest decision of every walk; at the end of my driveway do I turn right at the mailbox and go on the tried and true walking route I always take, or do I turn left and forge a new path. Invariably, I turn right and stick with the tried and true, a bit wistful I am not exploring new parts of the suburban frontier.
I know the benefits of exercise variation, how it challenges the mind and body in different ways. Still, I like the calm certainty of my walk, a certainty which allows my mind to wander and find rest as my body takes motion along its unvarying walking route.
