Congratulations to my In-laws

To the Erwin Entrepreneurs:

Long Live King Coal! I hear that the disemboweling bulldozers are on their way, and the Erwins will inherit the earth.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to visit you as planned because my father is in bad shape. His prostate troubles are getting to be acute, and my mother says both of them are demoralized. So we go to Boston instead of the farm. We will pay you long-distance homage to your capitalistic venture, as we will try to stave off the vultures hovering over my failing father.

p.s.   I am sending you a copy of the speech I gave at the Charlotte conference. It reads okay, but try to imagine my graceful gesticulations and witty interpolations.
