I learned that divorce is one of the most heart wrenching and life changing occurrences, that can happen to a person. After almost 20 years my marriage died and I almost did to but my faith in God, a strong support system, prayer and wise counsel helped me through. Don't ever count out the wonderful blessings that comes as we transition from wife/husband to divorcee. Great things can be in store for those of us, that will not give up. There is a gift in being single. Hold on. Don't get bitter. Forgive and let go so you can embrace the present and awesome future that is ours in God.

How nicely put! My head tells me that you are right on, but sometimes my heart says something else. I have a long way to go, but now....God is with me!

I'm thinking of getting divorced in the near future. I need some serious help on what to be aware of and look out for. I'm afraid, and that has kept me from moving on!

Yes Sally Jo. You have to choose an executor. This cost me $200.00 to the lawyer in depths of west Texas. I chose the son who lives nearby, not the one who lives in New York state. I sent both sons a copy of the will and told them that there would be NO fighting over this after I am gone....... I chose an executor who is YOUNG and responsible and lives nearby. My brother is old and could die on me and that would be another lawyer fee to update. Choose a young executor

Hot hot. it is in the triple digits. This is North Texas. Just went home to west TX and redid my will. Willed everything to the sons, not the X husband. It has been 2 years now.Went to the family lawyer on the square back home.
