About Me

Retired academic librarian. Was a Navy Wave during Vietnam era as a computer geek. Worked on Alaskan pipeline for BP during construction. In fact, have worked in many strange places doing all sorts of things. A perfect background for a librarian

Interests:
Life long avid reader. As a child I used to read cereal boxes, gum wrappers, etc. but loved finding old National Geographics from which I learned about the big outside world -- made me a curious world traveler as an adult. I have taken up crocheting again in the last couple of years to entertain friends and family. Like everything else, it is something that is coming back again. People think I am cool because I can do this. Something people don't know about me is that I took Taekwondo for years. It was recommended as therapy to work out grief over the loss of my first husband in a car accident many years ago. Most people are shocked that the little old lady sitting there quietly crocheting and listening to conversations is still capable of putting somebody on the ground

Hi Joan,
Man, we got a soaking this morning didn't we. I need to go outside and pick up some limbs, but figure I can do that when the mail comes, I pickup limbs on the way out to the mail box.
Hope all is going good for you, I am staying busy with getting some gifts made for friends/family's birthdays, got about 5 here in Jan & Feb.
Hope to hear from you when you have the time.

Have a good one, too, Myra and everybody stay safe. I am volunteering at the homeless shelter today. Maybe I can make someone smile and that will be a great present for the holiday
