My Journals (1)

I think being a baby boomer is pretty awesome and we have change the perception of "getting older" - I know for me, I'm not ready to sit down and rock away the rest of my life in a chair.

I'm fortunate to have good genes but I'm still required to take care of myself, eat right and exercise to sustain a healthy lifestyle that is free of aches and pains. My wake-up call came when I health started deteriorating as a result of working 60+ hours a week and high levels of stress.

After doing my research to see what I could do to reverse my illnesses without the use of pharmaceuticals, I decided to change my diet, exercise, meditate and started taking a supplement.  The human body is amazing and I could physically see how my body healed itself when I started doing my part. I'm not a purist and still enjoy ice cream and pasta, but I eat to be healthy and in moderation.

This was the turning point for me to make a decision to transition my career to do what I love most - health and wellness. I enjoy helping others to move through resistance and change their consciousness about being healthy for life. My greatest reward is that, once my clients complete my program, they get it, it sticks and they maintain on their own - no more training wheels!

So time has brought me back to what I love - and what an interesting time it is with all of the attention on healthcare reform, and health and prevention.
