Hey reemas, just thought I would drop you a line while I was looking around the MA site that AARP invited me to join the group. I noticed that you like easy crossword, mah jongg and word search. As do I, my kids gave me a nintendo ds for my 60th birthday along with those game included. It is so much fun. Along with the brain games too, but the crosswords and search word are very good. My newest game is like and I Spy type of game , lots of good times for sure. I do however love to cook, bake, sew and crochet. I am retired and on disability after serviving 4 back surgeries. I just thank God I am still walking, not running, but I am mobile and that is a good thing. So if you like, drop me a line and perhaps we could compare note or whateve. Bye for now, Deb

Hi ladydnma, received your note today and I hope all is well with your back. Back problems can be extremely painful and I hope all goes well for you in the future. I haven't searched the ma site for AARP folks in my area and it was nice to see that others will reach out. I am finally retired from a stressful job as with the current economy I would not like to be in my former position. I was the chief accounting office of a Mass community and balancing budgets was my job. My new hobbies are traveling and have been to Italy, the Carribean, Alaska and all around the United States. Lots to see next spring I'm off to the French Riveria that should be a nice trip. While at home I spend time with my grandchildren, 3 boys ages ranging from the oldest of 16 to the youngest of 5 months. I have 3 childred 2 girls and a boy and I'm really lucky to have them within 5 miles of where I live. Some folks are not so lucky. I do enjoy the games that aarp offers and I also knit and cross stitching. I have never been able to crochet, which was my Mother's favorite pastime. Maybe I will be able to master it in the near future. There is such a great feeling when you give a gift that you made yourself and seeing the pleasure in the face of the receivers that really makes my day. Well that it's for now and I hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas and a healthy New Year and hope to hear from you again in the future. Ruthie
