On the ranch there's always tons to do and our dogs enjoy a little ride! Yes, that is a dirt smudge on my forehead.

I see you are somewhere near the foothills of the Sierras. What a lovely place to retire. This being the Memorial Day holiday weekend I presume the campers came en masse to spend the holiday. Funny, but it nearly always turns cloudy or even rainy on the holidays. We used to camp a lot first in tents, then pickup with camper and then the "Big Leagues" with a Motor Home. Well, after 40 years of that in various stages and a variety of campgrounds, we gave up and decided that there was no place like home.
I hope your summer crowd is well behaved and the whole adventure is lucrative and that next winter you can settle down to some quilting. I had a little fling at it and cut up all of my husband's neckties to make a wall hanging. Nearly died I got so involved with it. It is really time consuming and hard to stop once you get started. I don't think I can live long enough to finish anything like that again. Pot-holders are about as big as I am willing to go for now.
By the way, I just love the little dogs. How do you keep them groomed so nicely when they run in those weeds? We used to have a Cocker and he always had golden clumps in his black hair and they hurt him a lot. Hurt worse when we tried to brush them out.
If you aren't too busy it would be fun to hear about the "campground" and you.
