A 63-year-old Denver native, I've been an elementary school teacher for the past 20 years - at the same school! I taught third, fourth, and now sixth grade. Retired this past June. Loving retirement! I am owner of a small photography business, DB Photography. Contact me if you need a professional photographer!
A product of the Denver Public Schools, the University of Denver and the University of Colorado, both Boulder and Denver campuses, I have degrees in Journalism and Elementary Education.
I'm divorced and have two sons, one who is 39 soon and the other who just graduated from the University of Denver and works at Inverness. He's 23.
My greatest passion - besides teaching - is photography. I've been a photographer since I was 13 and have a free-lance photo business, db Photography, which I will pursue full time after I retire from teaching next year.
My other passion is hiking the Colorado Rockies. When I'm "gettin' high" in the mountains, I am at peace with myself and my maker.
I'm a strong believer in the Powerful Intentions of The Secret and vision a wonderful retirement and life after teaching.
Interests:
Photography
Hiking
Denver Sports: Avalanche, Broncos, Rockies
Music:
As a baby-boomer, I enjoy all of the rock, country, bluegrass, and folk music of "our era".
I enjoy "New Age" ambient music as well as Celtic music
Movies:
I'm a Turner Classic Movie buff and enjoy so many of the fine old films. If you look at the American Film Institute's top 100 films, you will see the titles of my favorite movies.
I enjoy good horror films
Books:
I read so many different books, it's hard to identify them at this time. I especially enjoy historical fiction,
such as David McCullough's wonderful books. A really well-done horror book gets my attention occasionally
Television:
I rarely watch "regular" television programs. I'm always tuned into Turner Classic Movies or the Independent Film Channel or Sundance Channel when I do watch TV. Or Denver sports
