I live in Englewood FL with my best bud, Maggie and my son's dog Karl is probably not going to leave... So, it's me and my dogs. My husband passed away in Dec. 2004 and I am hoping to move North to be closer to my grandson

Interests:

I work with Veterans groups, VietNow, AmVets and knit hats for Chemo patients. I LOVE to READ, COOK, and create recipes. I knit, sew and my passion is to decorate and generally rearrange my house often. Football, DaBears and the White Sox are my favorites, so the dogs and I eat lots of hotdogs [no pun intended] in the summer and I throw tailgate parties, even if it's only the dogs and I!!! Camping and hiking are way up on my list of great ideas for anytime. Stamping is something I love, but haven't done much of lately

Music:

My music is anything but hard rock and heavy metal. Depends on my mood and what I am doing. While at the gym I like rock...Gets and keeps me moving. I am relearning the piano and bought a flute but haven't found a teacher yet!

Movies:

My kids used to say all I liked were movies like Mary Poppins and Bambi, but I actually love any movie WITHOUT too much blood

Books:

I love Sue Henry who writes about my favorite place in the world, Alaska. I lived there about 6 years. I read mysteries, legal thrillers, and love John Safford and the Lucas Davenport stories. I spent so much time with my sisters in MN I can feel I am riding along with him! Historic Fiction is great and I'll read anything except romance novels.

Television:

I am partial to NCIS, Monk and Hallmark movies. New favorites are Burn Notice and all Law and Order. I am addicted to MSNBC, Food Network, Animal Planet
