I am a senior citizen. I emigrated from the UK in the fifties, to Canada, then to the States in the 60's. I am interested in discussing the UK, politics, travel, theatre, almost any topic reasonably entertaining. !

Sinatra and peers. Have no ear for what young people are pleased to call music, or the lunatics who make it I am fond of the more popular operas, Carmen, La Traviata, La Boheme, and Madame Butterfly

Movies:

Mostly golden oldies, am fond of the Better Davis genre. My favorite film of all time is ALL ABOUT EVE. Of the modern ones, Glenn Close, especially in Damages, Meryl Streepe, Julia Roberts, males Cary Grant generation, mods Densel Washington, Clooney et al and the new guy in BURN NOTICE...great new show. My other favorite TV show is MONK

Books:

Books? There isn't enough space. Classics like Gone with the Wind, Walden, Thomas Paine, Steinbeck--the immortals
