About Me

I am very fortunate to be married to my very best friend Cathy and we have three great children: Alexandre' (Andre') 15; Corde' 13; and my Princess "P", Bre'Lahna 9. Even though I am still young (probably always will be), I have had major life changes in my life. Through the support of my family, my church family, and my God, I am a better person for all of it. My goal in life is to leave this earth having had a positive contribution first to my family and secondly to my community. I believe that every morning we are granted the choice to be positive or negative, and I choose the first

Interests:
Interests change with the times for me. Currently you can find me participating in anything that my family is involved in, especially anything that promotes the AARP / Blue Zones Vitality Project. I enjoy keeping abreast of current events and studying history to see what I can do to change the course of the future. At my true heart you could say that I am a cross between entrepreneurship and politician. I am never afraid to tell you where I stand on just about any subject, and am always willing to learn the facts and become educated on the important topics of the day

Music:
Music really speaks to my soul. Although I couldn't carry a tune if it were surgically attached to me, I enjoy it , and really enjoy the place and time in which I am able to travel through it. As for artists my choice would definitely choose Meatloaf as it brings back memories of my brother who I lost in 1985. I would also like to add Mr. P from Fourth Man in the Fire - he was the principal at the school my children attended, and was probably one of the brightest spots in a dark time for me

Movies:
Hoosiers is my all time favorite movie. I came from a small town and can appreciate the concept. My favorite line in the movie goes something like this: "The sun don't shine on the same dogs **** everyday, but Mister you ain't seen a ray of light since you got here." To me this is profound. Sometimes it appears that until someone is willing to reach out to a new face, you are lost in a cloud of unknowing. Another great movie that inspires me is "Pay It Forward". If we could all practice this once a day, what a change would come

Books:
The Bible - the story contrives so many emotions and has the ability to alter my state of mind. I also enjoy reading just about anything that has a learning principle to it. Generally I find myself reading a lot of magazines on current trends and topics to stay abreast of the world that I plan to have an impact on

Television:
I know that I allow tv to consume too much of my time. I would rate my viewing as #1) Anything on the History, National Geographic Channels. #2)ABC/CBS - crime tv shows "Criminal Minds", "CSI", "Numbers" and things like that. I also enjoy watching movies, and even cartoons/teen shows with my kids
