I was raised in MD. I worked for IBM in Wash., D.C., married, raised two children in Mt.Vernon, Va, then moved to Annapolis, MD to enjoy sailing the Chesapeake Bay. I moved to FL in the mid 80's. I am a widow of five years. Have a daughter with husband and two small children nearby.

Interests:

I really enjoying walking. I feel great when I do two miles - try to do it every day. My favorite is to swim! I used to work at a local college with Elderhostel, as a coordinator - which means watchng over 50 people while they come for a week's program. Challenging and you learn a lot while sitting in on the classes. I recommend it to anyone looking for a once a month, for a week, job. Now I volunteer at that college, which is Eckerd, in St. Petersburg, FL. I also like to dance - 50's "jitter bug", now called swing, and a bit of ballroom. ' traveled a bit, but would like to find singles who are like minded to travel with. I enjoy watching football, tennis and golf. also, live theater, concerts, and seeing the sights when travelling

Listen to all types of music - not really into classical or rap - sang in a chorale until a bout of laryngitis, and lost my singing voice.

Movies:

Let's see - chick flicks, comedies, good drama, indy flicks, foreign films, do not like to see violence of any kind

Books:

I read a variety of books. Biography's, most types of fiction, like authors with a dry sense of humor
