About Me

I'm a work in progress who's rediscovering herself. I'm a veteran, not retired, and presently looking for work. Just enjoyed 4 months working on the 2010 Census. Got two cats at home to call family. My parents are still alive and live in TX. My sister lives in NC & FL. I'm a lifelong student and love learning new things. Harmony is a way of existence for me.

Interests:
Reading (Scifi, mystery, suspense, bible), writing, photography, music, church (LEM, altar guild, Verger trainee, choir), hanging with friends, theatre

Music:
Country, folk, contemporary christian, classical, slow blues, jazz, world, just name a genre and I can probably find something in it I like.

Movies:
The American President, Twister, Practical Magic, Harry Potter, LoTR, Scifi stuff, Adventure action, Sandra Bullock, Harrison Ford, Nicholas Cage, I almost have a degree in theatre so I like movies that have lots of good special effects, set design, costuming, consummate acting and are well directed.

Books:
Scifi to include most of the old masters such as Heinlein, Clark, and Asimov. Other favorite Scifi authors include Laurell K Hamilton, Jim Butcher, and Susan Palwick. Also enjoy a good mystery. I read Kellerman, Baldacci, and Tony Hillerman.

Television:
Numb3rs, NCIS, Criminal Minds, Ghost Whisperer, Mental, Mentalist, ReGenesis. TV died a while back and I've not replaced it so most of what I watch is available on the internet or DVD.
