About Me

I am an elementary school teacher in rural Washington.  I have five children, three grandchildren.  I am a cradle Catholic, and my faith is the most important aspect of my life.

Interests:
I love baseball, high school and college basketball (go Gonzaga!) and watching my grandchildren play soccer, softball, and t-ball.  I spend most of my spare time at sporting events for various family members, working on projects for my classroom, reading, and watching old movies.  I am teaching kindergarten, and I love my students!

Music:
I love classic sixties rock, especially the Beatles. I also enjoy both American and Irish folk music, some country, and bluegrass.

Movies:
Movies from the fourties and fifties are my favorites.  Great writers, directors, and actors, without the disgusting vulgarity and crass language of the present.  I love musicals, and some personal favorites are Oklahoma, Sound of Music, West Side Story, and My Fair Lady.  I also enjoy some of the more recent musicals such as Mama, Mia!, Grease, and Hairspray. I also love all Hitchcock movies, especially Psycho and Rear Window. Jimmy Stewart is probably my favorite actor

Books:
I favor the classics, such as all of Jane Austen's books, Charles Dickens, Mark Twain, John Steinbeck, JRR Tolkein, CS Lewis. I like to read stories of the lives of the Saints, and other inspiring biographies.

Television:
I like all the Law and Order series, Cold Case, and Without a Trace. I am a big fan of Monk and Psych on USA. My youngest son and I watch Jeopardy regularly. I enjoy watching EWTN programs as well.
