Job Resources for Older Alaskan Workers
Are you interested in job resources available to older workers in Alaska? Your first stop should be the AARP Careers web site:
 
 
If you go to that page and look on the left-hand side you’ll see links to “finding a job” etc. that will give you more information. There’s also a link on that page to the National Employer Team, which is a group of national companies that is working with AARP on issues relevant to mature workers. Here’s the direct link, which might give you list of companies to talk to:
 
 
The State of Alaska has a jobs web site at http://www.jobs.state.ak.us/ that has a lot of information. There’s a specific state agency that might be able to help as well, the Mature Alaskans Seeking Skills Training (MASST) program.
