Starting to get my life back together, slowly after loosing my husband of 30 years. He had been hospitalized for 125 days with gastric cancer. I was grateful that I could be with him everyday and also, in the nursing home at the time he had passed away. I told him at the time he passed away and I firmly believe in this that there is a "new beginning" for us and we just have to have faith and believe

Right now as I mentioned above is just getting life back together - I enjoy doing computer work - and this has been a great release for me. My life has changed so much lately - anticipating volunteering this fall in public schools, enjoy working out at the y - would enjoy starting up some kind of travel/widows/widowers group through AARP! Felt inspired today and started another group for AARP. It is under "family and friends" and the sub-category is "retirement communities." I had wanted to put it under lifestyles but none of the sub-categories seemed to be relevant. I think that this would be a great way for us retirees to meet online and understandably, we all have come from differents walks of life!
