Okay, so it's been quite quiet around here lately.....and no I have not been out on the new toy yet. Uhhhhh (heavy sigh) The sweetie had to order a "sissy bar", (I prefer to call it a backrest, because I am not a sissy). Of course for our toy they're on backorder, if you can believe that.
But here's the latest news....I don't want to ride, I want to drive. I want to be on my own little scooter, in control. Hehe..I want to have the wind flying off of my visor/helmet, and my jeans whipping in the wind. Ahem...even though I'm so skeered! But you didn't hear that from me. It's just an oversized bicycle right? I can still ride a bike, and am not afraid of horses either. But, this IS a far cry from the Yamaha 80 my brother had when I was ummm...much younger.
So, the shopping has begun for my very own little toy. First choice being a little Honda Rebel, it's soooo cute! Unfortunately it does not come in neon metallic pink....so sad.
Does this mean that we'll have to call you Biker Chick? Promise you'll post pictures when you're all decked out in your leathers. Is it even legal for a lady of our age to ride in a fringed leather bikini? I'll look it up and let you know before you spend any money! You GO GIRL!
I have to tell you that I followed a young lady on a cute bright yellow scooter yesterday and when I got close enough to see the decals on the back I read, "I LOVE poetry and long walks on the beach and poking dead things with a stick!" Made me laugh. You have a great time shopping and some wonderful wild (well maybe not too wild) rides!
My First Motorcycle was a 250 cc TwinStar, the predicessor to your Rebel. Fun Bike, best Bike. I went up to a 750cc Saber, but pick the TwinStar as #1. Jump on, go any where, 85 mpg, just nice. Have Fun! Art
