Any sign of spring in your neck of the woods? My snowshoe picture was taken about 40 miles from home on Sunday and we had to go that far to find enough snow. Here in town we are mostly dry and have had lots of warm, sunny days in the last week. We're still expecting snow before it's all over but spring is in the air.....

Colorado hug for my Wisconsin tax preparing friend!

We're on day 4 of gloomy, wet & warm (for this time of year) weather. We got our first thunderstorm this afternoon. The snow is going fast! But you're right - we'll be getting more of the white stuff before it's all over. I just hope my spring flowers don't rush the season!

Wisconsin hug back at ya..

Yoo, hoo! Anybody home? You must be busy this winter, huh? Yeah, me too. I don't know where the days go sometimes.

Just wanted to drop by and say I miss visiting with you but I understand how busy life can get. Have a great winter, Barb!

I'm still alive!!! I went back to the tax office 2 weeks early (mid-January) and haven't had a minute to breathe since then! I think I'm getting too old for that pace! I love working w/numbers, but I don't like the 10 hour days (+ this past Saturday). My kids (& some grandkids) have Facebook profiles, so that is where I spend my spare minutes. I miss your journals. And, what is with the blond "doo"?
Don't give up on me, I'm still kickin'!!!

I'll check back in when we get home or somewhere along the road. And the picture is just me waving bye for now. Talk to you again soon!

I never do this. I never leave exactly the same message to each one of my friends but I'm going to do it today. In the last month I have heard of two friends who have experienced a TIA (commonly known as a mini-stroke). One is a man in his 40s and the other a woman in her 50s. In honor of these dear people and all the loved ones my family has lost to heart disease I am sending this same message to each of my friends.

Jcofla has a profile here on AARP that you need to see. Please, take just a few minutes to read John's journal "Breakfast in Bed" and to watch three short videos about the American Heart Association's "Go Red For Women Day". Then take another minute to tell John thank you! You can find his profile here:

How are things up north? Does the weather keep you inside much? I hope all is well, sweet lady, and that you are enjoying the winter days no matter what you are up to

I just created a new Photo Album on my profile called "Quilts" because I just wrote a new journal and added a couple pictures of my CHRISTmas present which just tickles me pink! I was filling my photo album when I came across one of your comments before you discovered how much fun quilting could be. It made me smile to remember these pretty ones on your profile.

Happy New Year, my dear old friend!

Yup - it's amazing how I can eat my words with just a little salt & pepper!
