About Me

I have one married daughter, 2 grandsons and 1 grandaughter. My daughter is a couple miles away and the kids are within a few hours drive. I live in a very small rural community where you wind up related to everyone if you're here for more than one generation.

Interests:
I am active in my church and a number of organizations. In my very small church (Episcopal) I am a layreader and lector, treasurer, and education coordinator. I am treasurer and volunteer for our local food pantry and the St. NIcholas Project (we make sure that everyone in our county has food and gifts for Christmas). I am treasurer of the Ontonagon Paper Mill Retirees (my husband's employment) and Area 1 Director of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel. I volunteer at the museum and belong to our Historical Society, sit on the board of the Domestic Violence Coalition, and help with a few other things.

The ice has gone out on the river and ducks are back in the neighborhood.  It was 62 degrees today and will be in the high 50s for the next 5 days.  Sure beats freezing.  Snow is melting quickly now.

All my houseplants need re-potting very badly but my garage is too messy to find everything I need to do that so they'll have to wait.  I have a very big sorting job to do of many years worth of paper.  I have a bad procrastination problem fueled by my addiction to reading.  Maybe spring will help.

I have a lot of traveling to do for meetings next week.  I'd like to get my necessary work done at home before I leave.  sometimes a little pressure it what it takes to get me started.

Did I correct all the typos?  My granddaughter told me I was a terrible typist... as if I didn't know that!

I'm off to bed now.  Sweet dreams, everyone!
