Hi Myra, We are starting to gather leaves for next year's garden. Hubby does the woods, I do the deck. The weather is perfect for it right now. I have to take it easy on the pies this year, we both have high blood sugar

Oh yes, I have some other friends that have to watch their blood sugar levels, too.
I got leaves & pine straw to cover over my flowers & garden beds, so now they can sleep till next Spring. I still have some roses trying to bud out, can you believe that. I was really surprised by it. We are having in the mid 30's at night, so not sure any of them will come to bloom out. I may go ahead & just cut them back this weekend, and put some pine straw over their area also.
Hope we have some nice weekend weather, enjoy it if we do.

Every time I need a little inspiration to get started on Thanksgiving and Christmas stuff I just drop in here to read about all your preparations. You inspire me! I'm off to paint one more bedroom at my daughter's house in preparation for their Thanksgiving Open House. She's been making curtains and she and the other daughter have been hanging pictures and quilts over there so the house is really beginning to look like a home.

If I remember right your hubby will be home all next week so I know you will be enjoying his company. Just in case I don't talk to you again before the holiday I just want to wish you both the very best Thanksgiving with the people you love. YOU are one of the many things I am thankful for, my friend.

Hugs,
Patricia

Hey girlfriend,
I am sending you big hugs & silly grins. You make this AARP site, what it's all about. Sharing, being a friend, laughing, dreaming and walking with one another through some rough times, times of change, unsure times, but we all can be here and share in a Circle of Love and Friendship.
I am Thankfull I have found you and so many more great folks out there to call friends.
Hugs to you sweet one,
Myra

Good morning Myra, how are you coming along on those seven Christmas trees?

Good Morning Deb,
All the tree's are decorated, the rest of the house is decked out also. Today I am going to be sewing some candy cane aprons, I think they will be really cute for the holiday's, I already have it cut out, so now for the sewing. My husband was home yesterday, and we worked all day in the yard, mowing & mulching leaves, raking leaves & pine straw, blowing leaves, he even had to walk the roof and blow off the pine straw and Willow Oak leaves. We have lot's & lots of trees here, so LOTS & LOTS of LEAVES & PINE STRAW.
Rain & chilly weather outside today, yesterday was warm & sunshine!
I will start wrapping all the gifts today also, they are all bought & ready to go. Next all I have to do is get the Christmas cards addressed & put the stamps on them and mail on Dec.1st.
I just love getting everythings ready and then being able to sit back and enjoy the company as they travel in & out during the Holidays.
So how are things going for you this week?
Myra

Busy busy busy at work. I was off for five days and so there is much to do to get caught up. I have a long ways yet until retirement but I'm sure ready!

I haven't even started to think about Christmas yet, although it will be here before we know it!

Hello Myra, I just looked at the pics of your house and yard, they are so pretty. I guess you got dumped on by Ida too. I'm hoping I get to some leaf gathering today that I keep putting off. Hope we stay dry for a bit

Good Morning,
Yes, I was just looking at all the leaves in the yard, guess I will need to get out there this afternoon and do something with them.
Oh yes, Ida got us with lots of wind & rain, knocked out our power for a couple of hours.
Have a good weekend.
