About Me

I am 62 years in this life time. I have traveled all over the United States and some over seas. I now live in Alabama with my husband and soul mate. We have been married over 20 years and still enjoy being with one another each day. We laugh a lot, and share many interest. I love crocheting (without patters), playing in my garden, landscaping, decorating our home, cooking, sewing, jewerly making, and other crafts

Interests:
I have been doing Reflexology for over 10 years, also stone therapy and pressure points. I love working on people and seeing them benfit from these. I miss the No. Ga. mountains, but, am learning to like it here in Moody. Al. We moved here over 10 years ago.

My Journals (1)

This has been a project for about 3 months now, and at last it is just about finished. I do enjoy working in the yard and trying to make it look nice, but keep the maintance easy on my hubby and I.

We have lots of trees around here, so raking leaves is a real event come fall time. You will see that some leaves were already falling in these pictures, as I was finishing this project up. Seems to be a little early this year.

I love the workout I get when I am out here working, shoveling the gravel, dirt or river rocks, digging up tons of monkey grass and other plants and re-planting them. Seeing something change and come alive looking to me is a real passion of mine.

My hubby does not enjoy this style of work, however he is great about cutting the grass, and working hard so I have the money to buy rocks, dirt and gravel and tools. In the 4 years here, I have worn out a troy riding mower, hauling blocks, bricks, gravel & dirt, when I built the retaining walls on the side yard. I am on my second wheel barrow, and second pull cart behind riding mower plus the new riding lawn mower, a Husqvarna. My hubby has taken over cutting the grass, because he likes the BIG NEW more power Husqvarna riding lawn tractor.  Hey, fine with me, gives me more time on landscaping projects.

So here are the new pictures, I have been talking about so, Cappy and Jen and a few others on here can see what I have been talking about working on.

Hubby, can't figure out how his 5'2", 62 year old wife, can tear up wheel barrows and riding lawn mowers and pull carts, I just tell him, it's all in a days work, sweetheart. :>)

Myra, Hi, So glad you are feeling better and able to be outside, we too have been enjoying nice weather here...most of the color is gone from our trees, and leaves are everywhere, but at least it's stopped raining, and the sun has been shining, I love it ! Take care my friend...Jen

Hi Jen,
It's so good to hear from you and to also hear you too have been enjoying some great Fall sunshine weather.
Our leaves are falling fast, but goodness we still have plenty, I hope my hubby will help me this weekend and we can clean up this yard some. I am so sore today from working out in the yard all week, that I am not sure how much I will be able to do today, after I get the laundry done this morning. I have been falling asleep by 8:30pm and sure have to drag myself up in the mornings at 5am. guess that is called getting older, lol.
I hope ya'll have a great weekend.
Your friend,
Myra
