About Me

I am 62 years in this life time. I have traveled all over the United States and some over seas. I now live in Alabama with my husband and soul mate. We have been married over 20 years and still enjoy being with one another each day. We laugh a lot, and share many interest. I love crocheting (without patters), playing in my garden, landscaping, decorating our home, cooking, sewing, jewerly making, and other crafts

Interests:
I have been doing Reflexology for over 10 years, also stone therapy and pressure points. I love working on people and seeing them benfit from these. I miss the No. Ga. mountains, but, am learning to like it here in Moody. Al. We moved here over 10 years ago.

My Journals (4)

I have been a busy crocheter and sewer with lot's of beading thrown in there. I have a few pictures that my sweet husband put on here for me and I am trying to get info onto each photo, but it's not always working for me, so may have to wait till hubby gets home from the office, so he can help me get the rest of information on here.

I love to do crafts, and had not realized just how much stuff I have gotten done, in the last few months, until I pulled out everything and started taking pictures of it. So thought I would share with my friends here on AARP, at what I do in my studio here at home.

Remember I do not crochet with patterns, it just starts and flows into what ever it wants to be, if you look at some of the pictures you can see some of the large spools of threads that I use. They come in pounds, not ounces, LOL. My last shipment was 35 pounds of yarn, that was about 7 spools. The yarns I use are small mostly, but I do use some textured nubby styles, also. I love the effects that gives. When I fringe an outfit, I wrap the yarn around a hard back book, then cut, then pile up the cut yarn and hand tie each strand of yarn on.

I love to buy a plain looking jacket or top and then bead it up, I hand sew all the tiny glass beads on and I love doing this. Sometimes I find lace, or trim, or broken jewerly and use it in my creations.

The Demin & Lace jacket, is a plain jacket I purchased from Speigles, I loved the cut lines & style of the jacket, then I took lace from an old photo book cover I had, and embellished the lace all over parts of the jacket, then upon the lace I hand sewed the tiny glass beads in pink and crystals. It really sets the jacket off.

Hope you enjoy looking at the photo's of my creations, I still have more to take pictures of.

Yes, I wear the hat's also, love them.

Hi sweet Jen,
That sounds like some nasty weather there, we have rain here and it's kind of chily, but no ice or snow, thank goodness.
I have a stuffy head today and am sort of not feeling well, so I have been letting HGTV entertain me this morning. I have been working on my loom knitter some, not sure what it will turn out to be, as I am still learning how to use the thing.
You stay warm and safe sweet one, just enjoy some reading and relaxing.
Myra
