That is true. When it was icy I didn't leave the house. Ken even curtailed his daily walks. He had a hip replaced 2 yrs. ago, and I always worry about him slipping and falling. He still goes for his walks, but not as far or as often.
This Arizona gal does NOT like the cold and snow and ice!! Even after 41 yrs. I cannot get used to it. I have a tendency to get sick after being outside in the cold for any length of time----dates back to when I was a small child in NJ., which is one of the reasons my family moved to AZ, along with my older sis's bout with Rheumatic Fever, which left her intolerant of the cold and damp weather, too. So I hibernate!
Hope you are not one who is bothered physically by our terrible winters here.
