This is a 12 minutes video about turning 50 (or pushing 50), and getting "the letter." My idea is to open the idea up to website visitors so we can hear their reactions in video, audio, and photos - to turning 50. The question can be as simple as "what did you do when you turned 50?"
Please consider creating a new Journal on how to create a new short video and which software programs and camcorder / camera / hardware you are using.

dear nyadrn - thanks, as always, for your kind comments, and even for your disagreements. of course we all want what we want - the other, for me, is aspirational - I'd love to be more content with what I have and not want new things...
I'm still waiting for some video responses - please send them in - put them on your own pages - but let us know about them here...
This was a lovely video, the California coast together with that music was just the right mood setting.
Cannot share that sentiment of "wanting what you have" though. Reminds me of the Stones "sometimes, you get what you need". Don't like it... I want what I want and I always will LOL and that's my plan.
Great job and thanks for sharing.

hey dinamic love your rap on youtube... I don't remember the exact size in MB of my video, but I have a full range of tools available for reducing the size of my quicktimes and other video files... courtesy of AARP - where I work as a multimedia maven - but you raise a good question -- I'm looking all over the site (my parts of it included) and don't see something clearly labeled "HELP!" I'm sure it's there... so maybe we can find it together.... thanks again - tell a friend - I'm trying to get to 1000 views of my movie before St. Patrick's Day. ;-)
How generous of you to share the video. I've had that comment before about the crystal skull thing - but to me - it speaks of my time in California - ten years between 1973 and 1983 - when spirituality and all that the crystal skull and my friend David represent were very important in my life. What do others think - too much crystal skull, or does it speak to you? thanks!!
I wrote to friends on the outside, some on the inside, and a few of my relatives, not knowing that those on the outside can't comment, unless they are registered and logged in.
My nephew Steven who is in the business, sent me his comments below" Just forget the "Muriel." I hate the name and the only people who address me this way are relatives! Shelby
"Hey Aunt Muriel! Thanks for forwarding the video. I like it. Well thought-out, smart and poignant. The whole crystal skull sequence doesn't really speak to me, but besides that, it was interesting and thought-provoking. Hope all is well with you. Steve
