I have the answer!

I went out to the racetrack today to renew my license and while talking to the lady there, I finally came up with the answer to solve our financial crises.
We need to get the congress to pass a bill that will give every US citizen over the age of 50, $1 million dollars tax free. The conditions for this money is threefold.
1. Everyone must either resign or retire from their jobs.
(This would create 50 million new jobs in the US and eliminate the unemployment rate.)
2. Everyone must buy a house.
(This would eliminate the housing and mortgage problems with 50 million homes purchased)
3. Everyone must buy a new US made car.
(This would solve the problems of the auto industry with the purchase of 50 million cars.)

Those of us who are no longer employed will get 1/2 million and only have to buy a new house and car. The total cost would only be about $80 million and this country would be rolling again in no time at all. Along with the obvious savings to our country, we would save in the costs of welfare and unemployment benefits to those over 50. I'm also sure their are also other numerous savings that can be eliminated if the Congress would get together and start thinking of the people who put them in office instead of playing politics. The more I think about it the easier it seems and I think we should tell everyone about this plan. I'm sure there is a downside, but right now I can't think of what it is.

You have got to be kidding: I hope! Talk about "voodoo economics"! Reagan said way back when that he was going to decrease taxes, build up the military, and balance the federal budget. It does not work that way, never has, never will.

We cannot spend our way to prosperity. The current programs that the federal government is doing will result shortly in hyper INFLATION, making our dollar worth less and less
