Condo Board - painful, but...

Most people I know are aware I’m on my condo board. It’s definately a thankless job but I do feel I’m really having an impact and saving my building a good deal of money. So far this year, I think have saved us $14,000 by negotiating contracts. That’s a drop in the bucket, but it’s1.6% of the overall budget saved.

Chris - I'm the president of my condo board. My teeth have hurt ever since then. No one in the building really knows what goes on. I have a feeling if I tell them, they'll back off yelling at me that the front hose isn't long enough to go to the street so they can wash their car.

Thanks Sandy. It is hard work, and I agree, most people just don't get the amount of effort it takes.

Chris, kudos to you for serving on this board. My husband is on the board of our Home Owners Association and it is a thankless job. Most folks just don't understand the amount of time and dedication spent supporting the better good for all your Condo owners.
