New Yorkie puppie, Tootsie...Help!!

Trying to train a new terrior puppy is like expecting a one month old baby to understand.  I have only gotten to understand sit. and she comes when I call her, most of the time.  Wild lady is a better name.  she is very active into seeking out any mischeif she can get into.  I do time out in the kennel.,  I mean she does time out into the kennel.  Maybe  shold buy myself a kennel for siome peace.

thanks again. Any hints for crate training? She is crazy for about 2 hours and then either retreats to her kennel or her bed, next to mine. Then we go to the bathroom for a pee pee, and then crazy starts again. i caught her once eating her poop, ugh. Dr. says it is alsmost impossible to stop, but suggested i put red pepper on it to teach her a lesson. Ithought maybe her food wasnt properly digested and her poop tasted like food. Oh well, it was only once, but she is very educated in hiding where she poops. it is a difficult situation, till I find the little cigarette shaped poops. iI am crossing my fingers.
Then, I will deal with the crazies, which, from my other memories last about one year. Thanks for support

I sympathise with you whole heartedly. My Yorkies, Bailey, is a year old. When my children gave him to me they said he was house broke. I haven't found out whose house though. It was a year of total frustration, when suddenly afteer pulling my hair out, scrubbing the carpet almost thread bare, he's been perfect for 3 months. He still terrorizes the house with his antics, but at least he's finally trained. Don't give up on your little girl. They are precious and loving. but need patience and love.

Thanks...I understand fully. This is my second yorkie. First one was a rescue. I thought I would try a clean baby. yea sure.....Ha ha. They are all out of one mold. you are so right. Any potty training tips? I caught her one time eating her poop. Ugh. That is a new one for me. I hae had about 10 dogs in my lifetime. This is a first. Maybe she is not digesting her food and it tastes like food. ugh. SHe eats enough. Bad enough having to obey her, at least I an keep her slender and bossy. thanks for the thought. Marlene

Marlene, you must understand right from the beginning that you have a Yorkie on your hands. Tootsie will learn to do what you ask, when you ask but she will always be in total control of you. Your Yorkie now owns your home and now allows you to reside within.
I am a Scottie person and trust me they are the most loyal, loving, and dependable but the most stubborn. Yes, they will do as they are told, they act like perfect children but they have their way of getting even when things don't go quite as they like. I actually took my first Scottie to Puppy Kindergarden. He passed, I flunked. All I can say is, have patience it won't take long to train Tootsie. From the sounds of your post, Tootsie seems to be doing a fine job training you.
