Lost hubby to bone cancer after a good marriage what seems a long time ago now . That's when I got on the Net and it opened a whole new world for me as I accidently came across a Senior Group (NOT an AARP one so as not to confuse) that I stayed with and now this one came into my life and feel at home !! I had the most joyful experiences meeting some of them over the years! First 2 in California and then when I visited my daughter in Vancouver BC August 2008 I met 4 more (Canadians) . One couple drove 75 miles one way to meet me after she just got out of 3 months in hospital (and she did the driving! I was so touched and honored! When the owners closed the site down we were all DEVASTATED as had been family for a number of years ! Some of us stay in touch other ways . The site covered many countries so brought people/cultures together which was the wonderous thing -to talk to one another /learn from one another ! I must start shopping for a good lock for this puter as I love getting on with this group and so it will HAVE to have an auto timer shut-off !!! :)) Everything in moderation yeah right ! :)) Hugs to anyone who needs or wants one. Volunteering has been a part of my life a long time in many ways and I love my laptop . Used to go dancing a lot before family arrived then never enough as I loved it. :)) that and travel. Take Prayer Hotline calls here at home 24/7 as a volunteer among other things
