About Me

My roots go back to Superior, Wisconsin where my father was working for the railroad. No, Minot was not a final stop for me. I moved back to Superior to attend grad school at the University of Wisconsin-Superior. In the winters, I stayed in the dorms. In spring, summer, and fall, I lived in our home at Lake Nebagamon. After getting my master's in guidance and counseling, I set off to Florida and worked in Arcadia for several years. After being forced to retire, I moved up to Gainesville where I had friends. Though legally blind, I am a published poet. My poetry has been published in the United States and in Europe. Recently, Ken Klaus, the speaker for the Lutheran Hour Ministries, asked to see some of my poetry. His response was very positive. I have a 22 year old son, living in Florida. He was and is my "miracle baby". For health reasons I was always told I would never have children...little did they know! Yes, he is my late in life baby who is all grown up.

Interests:
Reading The Bible, reading large print and talking books, crocheting, sewing, and keeping up with family and friends.

I have had 5 messages asking me for money in the last few days all came from AARP site...I am avoiding this site for a time because of that fact.  I do not know how AARP lets this go on.  Mare 1496
