I'm in your corner on that one, too. My husband had leukemia for 16 years before he died. My life was a moody roller coaster until the hills and valleys finally smoothed out a little, but he had a very even-keeled, steady personality. The oly "bad" birthday he had was our daughter's 25th. He must have said 50 times, "Just think, she's a quarter of a century old!" One day I said, "You never had a birthday that sort of made you re-think your life, did you?" He just looked at me and said, "I think I'm lucky to be having birthdays at all!" So I celebrate mine. I'm 67 and figured I've earned every wrinkle and every pound.
