I'm a young 73 years old, widowed for three years, live by myself and love life. I have a family but have little contact with them or grandchildren who are most grown and some great grandchildren that do not live around here. I do not want to be involved in my childrens lives and am not a very good grandparent I suppose by most folks thoughts, I guess but was married young, was a single parent most of the time and just want time for myself now. I'm a fun person to be around but definetly not into grandparenting. I owned a private club for about 6 years, worked in the Community Action programs during the sixties, was supervisor of 30 Vista for three counties and ran a Home Start project for The Kansas Childrens Service League. I went back to bartending after my years in community projects, it was the love of my life job. I became hard of hearing and then deaf but have a Cochlear Implant that allows me to hear very well. If I could still hear well over noise I would still be bartending. I've learned that life is very valuable and to live it you have to ride the waves. The ups and downs of life are just that ride and I'm doing that so that I can slip in going Whoo Who when the ride is over
