Hi, I'm a working single mom with a strong willed 14-year-old son. My main goal in life, at the moment, is to put my son through college and get him ready for life. I'm one of those creative types and work for a P.R./Marketing firm. I've worked in the industry for 30 years and still seem to love it. I'm planning an upcoming 2-week vacation with my son. We're taking a train trip from Chicago to Seattle and plan on stopping in several places along the way. I figure now that he's entering high school he won't have much time for me, so it's now or never! Love taking pictures of flowers and making beaded jewelry. When I have time I also list antiques/collectibles on Ebay, and whatever comes from it goes toward my son's college fund -- got to get him there somehow.
Just got back from the "big" trip. My son and I had a wonderful time. Chicago was beautiful, especially with all the lovely flowers, Glacier was a true adventure and Seattle was just great.
The only bad news was coming home to a dead computer. I will have to wait a couple of weeks before I can post some of the pix from the trip.
