About Me
I grew up an Army brat - luckily the product of a forward thinking southern woman and a northern soldier stationed in Alabama. I traveled a good bit as a child but was born and have lived most of my life in Birmingham, Al. I find myself in what was just identified as the "most conservative" state in the nation (a recent poll). I am definitely not in that majority group! I proudly voted for President Obama and support his initiatives especially health care reform. I love the state, especially its outstanding natural areas, but hope to live long enough to see progressive changes made that will improve the lives of all Alabamians.
I have spent 30+ years working for land conservation and environmental education organizations. I am semi-retired but looking for part-time work.
Interests:
