Hard to tell. They don't need a lot of water, but letting them dry out too long isn't good. Some say they need a period of coolness and dark. I do usually put the pot out in the garden in summer and leave it until it starts to get cold, but that doesn't always work. Good luck. Karl
Hey Karl,
I have been admiring your Christmas Cactus...what kind of soil do
you have it planted in? I have several pots of it...I hope to see blooms
some day! I have them in Miracle Grow soil.

MisDuh
Mine has a mind of it's own! This was the best display I've had, some years it hardly bloomed and the timing is pretty erratic. Thanksgiving, christmas,Easter whatever. They do need water in a dry house. I have a gauge that you stick in the pot to tall if it needs water.
Lovely Christmas cactus. I have one of these that I started from a little piece someone gave me years ago, but its never blossomed as much as yours. I probably don't water or feed it enough.
