I attended public schools in Columbia, graduating from C.A. Johnson High School. I attended Benedict College for 1 year and I graduated from A&T State University, Greensboro, NC with a degree in sociology and economics. During my military career I was trained in land surveying, neuclear weapons deployment, military communications, guided missile technology and tactical deployment of missiles. I also graduated from the Advanced Course for Military Officers(A nine month course in military leadership, tactics and strategies). Following my military training I received a Masters degree in Counseling from Kent State University.

About Me
I am an exuberant, healthy person who has had varied positions over the last 54 years. I served as a military officer for 11 year. I served as a Guided Missile instructor at Fort Bliss Texas, I was a commanding officer of several military units, including the Pershing missile. I served as the Executive Director of a job training facility for disadvantaged people. I was a corporate eexcutive for a publishing company and I have been an organization consultant for many organizations spanning 35 years. Today I use my varied experiences to mentor others in all walks of life. I am married to a wonderful wife, Linda. We have been married for 16 years. My first wife passed away in 1990. We had been married for 35 years. We gave birth to four sons. My second wife has two adult daughters. All total we have 15 grandchildren. We currently reside in Port Royal, SC. We are having a home built in Sun City Hilton Head, SC. We just relocated to this area. I was born in Columbia, SC.
Interests:
Racquetball, Football/Basketball Spectator, Ping Pong, Golf, Swimming Over the years I have volunteered to serve on various boards and committees where I have lived, including AARP. i am a Presbyterian elder.
