Well lets see...Born in Washington D.C. Dad was a Col. in the Air Force/Air National Guard. Mom, house wife (she was the secretary to the Pres. of General Motors in Detroit Mich. when they met.) They were looking forward to retiring & doing a lot of traveling since they had no children. Well their timing was a little off & that's why I'm an only child. On to Detroit for a couple yrs. and finally Lansing, Mich. where dad worked at the Capital for Gov. G. Mennen Williams. He retired a Brig.Gen. when I was 14 and completed their dream of retiring to Ft. Lauderdale,Fla. I grew up married a Marine (thought that would really make the old man mad, turns out he started as a Marine, oh well he was mad anyway.) I have a son Ken 43, daughter Lori 47, 4 grandsons & 1 granddaughter. I retired with AT&T here in Orlando, & now looking forward to retiring again in the Vacation business.

I went to the 07 Convention in Boston and had a great time. Wouldn't consider it this year, though, because I've been offended by AARP's failing to acknowledge communiques from members or replying with meaningless form letters or emails.
